Inspirational Bicycle ride

According to The Nation, the temperature was almost freezing on that cold winter morning. He looked at his wrist-watch. Still, there were a few minutes to eleven o’clock. Sunshine was everywhere but he felt freezing when an outflow of cold wind came to where he was standing with his small bicycle.

He was a 13-year-old boy with a bicycle standing beside a road. It was a Sunday, a day off school so no studies. A wonderful day for spending sunshine hours in bicycling on the road passing through the small town he lived in. The weather was so cold in the morning that he waited till noon before coming near the road for a bicycle ride which he was about to start.

His friend did not come towards him but waved his hand from a distance before starting his bicycle ride seeing the road empty. In a moment both friends were paddling their bicycles on the empty road.

The speedy car disappeared in the dust which was caused by its fast speed. The driver or any people traveling in that car did not know, because of its speed, that a small weak bird had collided with their car. Both friends saw a minor injury on the left wing of the bird. They quickly reversed direction of their bicycles and paddled fast back to their small town. Soon they were in town nursing the injured bird. They dressed its injured wing in an ointment.

He knew that the bird was unable to fly for a few days so he thought better to keep the bird with him till its healing fully for flying. After a few days when the bird was fully healed for flying, he went to his friend’s house taking the bird with him. Both friends tapped the bird’s wings and let it flew in the air. The bird flew away in the free air leaving a feeling of happiness for both the friends, find the liquor store.

BRAN 2018

The scenic beauty of the state will celebrate its 38th week-long bike ride celebration and Bicycle Ride Across Nebraska (BRAN) gave the bicyclists the chance to join. According to 1011 Now, BRAN uses its entire profit to offer scholarships for the Nebraska Highschool Seniors of the host community. This allows them to attend Nebraska trade school, college, universities.

Meanwhile, BRAN has no paid employees and runs entirely with the help of the volunteers, who even use personal vacations just to invest time in the said organization. The theme of 2018 even is “A Southern State of Mind.” As per the earlier mentioned source, the bicycle ride will kick off on June 3 (Sunday) and ends on June 9 (Saturday). The starting line is at Ogallala, overnight in Imperial, McCook, Alma, Red Cloud, Fairbury, Seward and ends in Ashland. BRAN 2018 participants will have an option to have three to four-day ride, along with the traditional seven-day tour.

Moreover, BRAN aims to offer the bicyclist a fun and safe experience annually. However, the ultimate goal is to provide the scholarship to the qualified students. At present, they will award over $30,000 each year to students. The only thing needed in order to be qualified for the scholarship is to be an attendee of any school in Nebraska, find the liquor store.

The tour’s cost is $240 for the week and $150 for three to four-day tours. Inclusive there is the fee for the following:

  • the gear during the week
  • stationary and mobile support

USA Cycling Amateur Road Championships in Washington

Over one hundred volunteers were needed this summer to help with USA Cycling Amateur Road Championships in Washington County. “The event is a big production. Right now, there are several committees meeting almost weekly. … We are setting the target for 150 (volunteers),” said Dan Spedden, president of the Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

According to Herald-Mail Media, the races are scheduled for July 26-29 and are expected to attract hundreds of cyclists and of course, their families, along with their supporters from all over the country. Here is the tentative schedule:

  • July 24: Participant arrivals
  • July 25: Registration opens, participant arrivals, event preparation, “Welcome Wednesday” at the Hagerstown Suns home game in Municipal Stadium
  • July 26: Time trial, Boonsboro
  • July 27: Road race day one, Clear Spring area
  • July 28: Road race day two, Clear Spring area
  • July 29: Criterium race, downtown Hagerstown

Competitors are expected to arrive in a day or two, prior to the event. Following this, competitors of several ages will race in three different events over the course of four day. The events include the following:

  • Time trial in the Boonsboro area
  • A long road race in the Clear Spring area
  • The criteria course in Hagerstown.

Previous National Championships have drawn over 600 to 1200 competitors. “I am saying we’ll be closer to the 1,200 mark. We are within drive time of many, many competitors. And people from all over the country are signing up,” Dan Spedden revealed.

The decision of USA Cycling to select the county was because of its central location in mid-Atlantic region and proximity to several largest markets in the country. Spedden added how the committees have worked with several organizations, including local police, state, highway, and the street officials. “It is a lot of work, and I am glad we started early. … We need permits from several agencies. We need to design good detours (for motorists) and road closures,” Spedden concludes, the liquor store near me.

Western Michigan’s Tim Lester enjoys hands on role

Reporting from Kalamazoo Mi, Mlive revealed how Western Michigan’s Tim Lester has found himself in an awkward position in his first season as the head coach of Broncos. He led the Division I for the first time in his young career and he felt more removed from the action than ever during dame day.

Tim Lester felt like he is a spectator while co-coordinators Kevin Johns, Jake Moreland lead the offense and Tim Daoust guides the defense.

“I always told people that I had a great seat, give me some popcorn, and I get to decide whether we went for it on fourth down or not, that was it. I tried to get the guys mentally right and get a feel for the demeanor on the sideline and where we were at mentally and try to make good decisions on when to be aggressive offensively and when not to, but that was it. It was really weird,” says Lester last year.

On the other hand, this won’t be the case in 2018 since he will take play-calling duties after John left to Texas Tech in January. Lester, known as the former quarterback of Broncos has invested all but one season of college coaching career on the offense side of the ball.

WMU hired Lester in January 2017 and there were only two months before the spring practice finally begins. He knew that it was not enough time to establish himself for the program and installing his own offensive system.Papa Murphy’s survey is the best place to reveal your feedback.

“I knew for the first four or five months of this job, getting to know this place, getting everything in order, I was not going to have time to be the offensive coordinator for at least the first five or six months, so I hired Kevin, and he did a phenomenal job,” he explained.

Bicycle Lane flaws in Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur City Hall is being condemned by the Kuala Lumpur MPs about the bicycle lanes due to the low-quality execution and planning. Few weeks after the 11km lanes were completed, Star Online revealed that it was being misused by irresponsible motorists as vehicles were parked on the lanes.

According to the outlet, Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng said that the project seemed to be rushed for the upcoming 9th World Urban Forum (WUF) 2018, which Kuala Lumpur is hosting from today to Feb 13.

“First, DBKL removed the lane separators (which act as a divider) placed along the bicycle lanes. This happened after a motorist injured himself when his bike hit it. Now, there are orange traffic dividers to prevent motorists from using the lanes, which I believe was installed by DBKL only on Feb 3,” Lim Lip Eng explained during a press conference conducted at Lebuh Pasar Besar, Kuala Lumpur. Buses and cars were spotted parked on the bicycle lanes at Dataran Merdeka.

On the other hand, Kui Lun wants Kuala Lumpur mayor Tan Sri Mohd Amin Nordin Abd Aziz to examine whether the project went through a standard process. “We want to reiterate that we are not against the project but RM4mil for bicycle lanes is too expensive. DBKL should have considered a more permanent approach, such as having electric trams, to ferry passengers around the city,” he added. Kui Lun also said that he and Lim would bring the matter up in Parliament.

Federal Territories DAP committee member Lim Ching How, who was also present at the press conference, said the lanes should be built entirely on pedestrian paths instead of tarmac roads.

Another present during the press conference is Federal Territories DAP committee member Lim Ching How. He believed that instead of tarmac roads, the lanes should be built entirely on pedestrian paths. Kroger feedback is the best way to confirm this status. “Painting it on pedestrian walkways can prevent cyclists from being exposed to the danger of being hit by vehicles on the road,” he shared.

Furthermore, he also shared the difference between the DBKL lanes and bicycle lanes where the latter is cheaper in Kuala Lumpur. “We will utilize the pedestrian walkway for the bicycle lanes so it would not narrow the roads,” Ching How promised.

Bicyclic Peptide

Bicycle Therapeutics and Cancer Research UK started the first clinical study to assess a bicyclic peptide. They evaluated the possibilities in patients with advanced solid tumors.

According to Pharmatimes, the first patient was dosed in Phase I/IIa trial with BT1718, a first-in-class Bicycle Toxin Conjugate that targets Membrane Type 1 Matrix Metalloproteinase (MT1-MMP/MMP-14). This drug is reportedly familiar with the case with solid tumors. The report also revealed that the trial targets to enroll 120 patients. Rapid dose escalation will take place in the said operation and after that, an evaluation of two schedules, BT1718, will happen. BT1718 was described as the very first example of the drug conjugate technology. Its toxic chemical payloads are expressed specifically to malignant tumors as it minimizes toxin exposure through the renal clearance.

Meanwhile, partners revealed that BT1718 demonstrated “promising target-dependent efficacy in preclinical models, including both cell- and patient-derived xenografts that are resistant to treatment with standards of care.” They noted as well how the therapy is safe, showing only a subset of toxicities typically associated with other highly potent cancer treatments.

“The initiation of this study is a landmark event for the company and for our technology. We believe that Bicycles, because of their small size and exquisite selectivity, could provide meaningful efficacy to patients suffering from cancer and avoid the toxicities associated with other classes of highly potent anti-cancer drugs. We are delighted to be exploring its potential in collaboration with Cancer Research UK,” said Maria Koehler, Bicycle’s chief medical officer.

Furthermore, CR UK’s Centre for Drug Development (CDD) sponsors and co-manages the trial. Bicycle retains the right to further advance the BT1718 program under the terms of the deal. This deal is to the point of an undisclosed payment split between cash and equity, royalty payments are to be given to the charity, and success-based milestones. Still, it is worth knowing what Kroger customer want.

A woman raised money to give someone a bicycle

Jennifer Johnson made an unlikely friend earlier this year.  This new friend became a big part of her life since then. Bobby Burke, known by many in the Milton community as Mr. Bobby, was walking from his home in Bagdad to his job in East Milton. One day, Johnson stopped and asks him if he needed a ride. From there, their friendship blossomed!

“I’ve seen this man ride down my road for some time now on his regular two-wheel pedal bike, but one day I [saw] him walking and I stopped to ask him where he was going and to see if he needed a ride,” Johnson said. “Ever since this day … every time I see Mr. Bobby walking, I give him a ride, even when it makes me late to work. According to Johnson, Bobby is well-known around town and there are some other generous residents who give him rides to work and give him money for food.

An anonymous police officer from the city of Milton donates money each month to a fund set aside for Bobby at Burger King to buy ice cream cones, and an unknown resident has a fund at the Milton Bakery for Bobby to purchase a muffin on his way to work in the mornings.

After driving Bobby to work for a while, Johnson said she started thinking of solutions that would be best for him in the long run. Eventually, Johnson found the perfect bike for Bobby after researching online and shops. She encourages people to join GoFundMe page to raise money to purchase the bike. Some deposited their donation into the bank. It exceeded her $500 goal by raising $954 in less than a month!

Furthermore, Johnson gave the bike to Bobby last Dec. 21. The video she uploaded on Facebook had over 16,000 views and nearly 300 shares on Facebook. Everyone was delighted to see that the cause succeeded.

Introducing a New Motorcycle Brand Into the Market

Introducing a new motorcycle brand into the market is not likely to be an easy undertaking. After all, there are already so many motorcycle brands in the market, and some are still unknown in spite of having been in market for so many years. When all is said and done though, there are two key things you need to do, when introducing a new motorcycle brand into the market.

Firstly, when introducing a new motorcycle brand into the market, you need to try and get all the major motorcycle vendors to start stocking that particular new motorcycle brand. Once you can get the vendors to stock the brand, people will start buying. And once the initial people buy the motorcycles, the brand will start growing ‘organically’ from there.

Secondly, when introducing a new motorcycle brand into the market, you need to create awareness about that particular brand. People need to know about its existence, if they are to consider buying it. You can create awareness through formal advertising campaigns. You can also obtain mailing lists of people who are likely to be interested in motorcycles, and write to them emails introducing your new motorcycle brand. This is not as hard as it sounds. You can just go to the ATT email login page, or to www.sbcglobal.net (that is, to the Sbcglobal.net email login page, sign into your account there, and proceed to write emails to the folks in your mailing list — introducing the motorcycle brand. Don’t underestimate this exercise, for people are always bound to buy brands that they are familiar with: regardless of how the familiarity was created. This is why we are always inclined to buy popular electronics brands, such as Panasonic and Sony in spite of there being other possibly better and much cheaper – but unknown – brands in the markets.
